Datacenter Manager

ICF is looking for a great candidate to oversee our datacenter operations and team. This candidate should have a functional understanding of datacenters, procedures, facility management, cabling standards and best practices, and be able to mentor and support a team of 24/7/365 technicians.

Skills we are looking for:

• Excellent leadership skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a well-organized approach to problem solving, mentoring, and being a resource for your team
• Strong familiarity with server hardware – Intel, Supermicro, Raid Controllers, Firmware, etc.
• Basic understanding of datacenter networking, vlans, ports, Cat5/6 and optical connections
• A passion for beautiful cabling and well-organized server cabinets
• Basic understanding of the linux operating system and/or other *nix variants

Duties Include:

• Managing team duty roster and shift scheduling, PTO/Vacations, interviewing and being part of the hiring process for building a great team
• Maintaining hardware inventory, LOAs, circuits, and working with external partners for facility operations, remote hands, installations, and upgrades
• Help with design, automation, and build-out of global datacenters (Amsterdam, Miami, Seattle, New York)
• Organize, train, and expand the capabilities of the NOC team
• Assist with solving tough hardware problems
• Work with external technology vendors on quotes, purchases, and hardware RMA
• Be a liaison to our internal server engineering and network engineering teams and work on projects, hardware deployment, and design initiatives
